Jon's Graduation!

Finally! It has been long coming and so deserved. Jon's last day of class was last Saturday and he's finished!
I have to say something about his dedication. There are not many people who just work through trials or hard times better than Jon. He is super focused on the things that are important to him and I admire that so much. Most of his days for the past 3 years involved a 4:30am alarm clock ringing so he could get up & run training for the 4 marathons he did this year, then coming home to study for a couple hours before work started. There were many of those nights where he was up until 2 or 3:00am doing those long papers, but most of the time he was so intent on not letting school take up family time.
So, I surprised him this past week with a quick getaway to Anniversary Inn in Logan! If you haven't been there, you're totally missing out, it was awesome. Here are some pics of our room which was called the Bikers Roadhouse! I was kind of hesitant to go there because it costs so much per night but I called to see if they have any discounts and they said they have a student discount during weeknights. Since we are Weber State Alumni, we get any room, all week long, for $129.oo! Great deal huh? You should totally go because it is gorgeous there right now, it was like a dream!

The kids and I made a sign for him for when he got home on his last day.
BIKERS ROADHOUSE
This was one of their newest rooms and so everything was the best! BEST bath tub ever! The jets were amazing.

A fountain machine in the room! Jon's favorite part was the hot dog roaster! It looks like a toaster there on the counter but NO... it's really a hot dog/ bun cooker! Men are easily amused!

This is the pool table where I beat Jon at pool! I better give him some credit, he taught me and won the first 2 games! After that though, he was history!
This is right as you walk in, Isn't that awesome?
Outside, they have a little river running next the Inn and all the leaves were falling. It was really wonderful!
Also.....when he graduated he gave me a graduation present, Desert Star season tickets for 2009! We love going there, I'm psyched! He says it's OUR graduation, and I think I agree! He definitely deserves everything in the world but we did feel like we didn't have a daddy some of that time. YAY! Here's to having our daddy back!!!

It's been a crazy month!

Family Party!
We had a family party tonight at my Grandma Forman's house! When I was little my Grandma used to pile up all the leaves in her tree covered backyard and let us all jump in the leaves over & over again! She let our kids do it this year and it brought back so many wonderful memories! They loved it! We all did!

Hanna loved it most of all!

Me & my babies!
Shelby & Jon are crazy people!
Oh so cute!

No electronics??? ARGH!

So sorry for the leave of absence I have taken. My computer has been in limbo for weeks now and I have lost all connectivity to society! I never realized how often I used my computer, TV and phone... All are not working RRRRG! I am so frustrated, it's a long story but it has to do with us showing our house and moving the TV. Not having out internet because of a virus that has decided to crash my life right now and a phone that won't work because of no internet. I am going to be able to do some posts soon, Jon finishes Grad. school on Saturday so that will free up the laptop A LOT more! Until then... Enjoy the leaves everyone!

umbrellas to mushroom trees!

Saturday was full of unexpected events!

It all started out with a rain storm in the living room. Umbrellas, coats, blankets...we had it all, right there on our couch! We CRAZY people!
After that fun adventure, I ran off to teach master classes while Jon tried to finish his 4,000 word paper (1 of 4 due this week) while trying to watch the kids. What a good multi-tasker he is. for a guy at least!!!

Then came the best part... A drive to Mirror Lake. Probably our favorite place to go when we want to see something truly beautiful! I cannot describe how beautiful it was right now with the leaves. I tried to capture it while we drove but the red patches just turned out blurry. The drive took us about 2 hours there and 2 hours back. We got there right at sunset and it was amazing!

Then came the car ride! With Hanna potty training, I have kind of learned her schedule for, ya know... So we brought our potty in the car. Good thing we did. I just couldn't help taking a picture of it. So funny!

There was this cool hollowed out tree with a mushroom carved on top. Perfect for climbing in and on! Random but cute!

And of course, we stopped for icecream on the way home! A messy but fun choice. It was fun, we want to go back in a few weeks, the leaves will be even more beautiful then!

Happy Birthday Papa!

Well I think I found something I definitely want to be better at... I tried making a cake for my dad & Zach for their birthday's and I wanted it to perfect. I even borrowed my friends cake decorating stuff ( Thanks sherry!) and thought it would be great with all the tips she gave me. Um...yeah, not so much! Don't get me wrong, I used the best stuff and it tasted great! Looks on the other hand, it needed some work!
Anyway, Happy Birthday dad& Zach! Papa was so cute to let all the kids ( mostly Hunter) open all his presents for him. What a cute grandpa you are!

Oh and Hanna could not have been happier to jus hold little Easton all night. She kept kissing his head but by the time the camera shot, she was saying cheese with a silly grin. Maybe it's time for another one of our own for Hanna to hold???

So Sweet!

I had just finished teaching voice for 3 hours and was exhausted from trying to do it while having children with me, (Jon was out of town). The kids were also hungry, it being 7:00pm and no dinner yet...and we were all just exhausted. This was the last thing I expected to see in the back seat. So cute! Luckily I had my camera, granted I probably looked like an idiot trying to take the picture not looking at them but it turned out ok! What sweeties!
