Girls night out!

Nothing beats a badly needed girls night out!
My high school friends and I have stayed close since graduating and we love to get together. We just can't do it enough! We were all in Madrigals and choir together. We are all moving away and this is our last chance to see eachother so California Pizza Kitchen had a loud group of girls stay for a long time last Thursday night! And who would have guessed would be our waiter...but our cute madrigal buddy Joey! He took a great picture of himself. Love you girls!

Decorating eggs & more hunts

So I kept the decorating until the last minute and we did it Sunday morning, but oh well, it worked!

My grandparents do a huge Easter egg hunt every year in their backyard. Hunter talks about it all year and they love it! You can see Hanna, she got the $5.00 bill this year!

The kids went to their first city Easter Egg Hunt on the Saturday before Easter and it is something they will probably never do again. I could not believe how insane it was.So not worth a coule peices of taffy and poor Hanna, every time she bent down to get an egg, another bigger child would swoop right in and grab it. And to make it even sadder... some of those swipers were the mothers.

This was our own Easter Egg hunt at the house. The kids had to find their baskets and then go on the egg hunt. They got money, sticker and a little bit of candy from the Easter bunny. Mommy knows that most of the candy gets eaten by her anyway so i tried to be good this year! And they got to learn how to pay his tithing. I think he paid a whoppin $ .16 this time! It's so cute!

Easter

So, as always Easter was crazy but good! I think this Easter was special. I'm sure everybody understands this feeling and that there is no way to describe it, but here goes a try. I love that feeling that you get when your kids actually understand the things you've been trying since they were born to teach them. The feeling that what you are teaching them is bigger than right there at home and it's going to be something they take with them for the rest of their lives. I got that feeling on Easter morning when we sat and tried to explain the true meaning of Easter to Hunter & Hanna. It worked a lot better with Hunter and even then, it was just a glimpse, but it taught me something about my self and how important our jobs are as mothers. I can't believe sometimes how much these little people depend on me, and most of the time I feel so inadaquate. But once in a while I get that really wonderful peace that comes when I know what were doing is the most important job in the whole world and I wouldn't trade it for the whole world!

Sky high!

So my kids love this place I think more than home! They get there and go straight for the arcade area. I have never even given them a token, they simply love sitting on the motorcycles pretending they're getting somewhere! We went with some friends in the neighborhood and I think this is going to have to be a weekly thing we do!

St. Patricks Day!

Here's a few new pages of things we have been doing lately. I am so behind because of how busy we've been with birthday stuff and Jon being out of town for a month! But it's finally over WAHOO! Well Jon did tell me he has to be out of town all of next week too which I was totally bummed about until he said I get to come this time! We're leaving the kids with my sister and I;m just tagging along. He'll be working during the day in Pheonix and Tuscon so I will actually have a day off...woah, I don't know what I am going to do! Maybe I'll exercise...hahaha funny right? J.k. I actually do want to and maybe I can read a good book. I am way psyched!
The pics of the kids are on St. Patricks day. Our cute little neighbor friend Niki came over to play. My kids love it when she comes over. Her dad has arranged for Hunter to marry Niki in the far far far away future! They would be the best inlaws! They were playing ring around the rosie. Hunter sang the right tune but the words that came out of his mouth were; "jingle all the way...jingle all the way...jingle all the way!" It was hilarious!
