Playing with friends!

We went to the Brownings new beautiful house for a play date yesterday! Hunter had so much fun playing in the dirt and riding on the 4 wheeler with Randy and Riley, he's been talking about it ever since! Thank goodness for play dates, I think mommy enjoys them more than the kids!

Spring!

Hunter just begged and begged the other day to have a picnic outside! We do have a park right across the street but it was freezing so this is what I could come up with! Bundled up, on the deck, with a cooler as the table! This was definitely one of those moments where I just wanted to soak it all in...I love being a mommy!

Hunter is done with his food and taking a "nap"

"Mom, do you always have to take our pictures?"

As long as there's food, Hanna's happy!

Oh no...her food is getting low...better get more!

Road trip

The trip to SanFrancisco was long but fun! Jon got to stop at some cool stops. Actually the guys house that they were staying at was actually one of the founders for Pixar ...don't get me started on what his home looked like (GORGEOUS!) But they did get to tour Pixar studios and here's some of the pics from that, Hunter liked them anyway!

Jon and my dad next to Sully and Mike Wazowski!

OH and the cute town they passed was named after our son of course!!! Actually it kind of looks like a depressing town, how sad!

The next day was on to the real reason for the trip...the MARATHON and in Hunters words "DUN DUN DUN!"sound affects included!

The Muir Woods Marathon!

Jon tackled another one! This is one of the most beautiful and challenging marathons you can do. Starting at Stinson Beach near Sanfrancisco and continuing through the Redwood Forest. You can see in some of these pictures of the trails how tiny the path was to run on. The first 11 miles was a steep hike. No running, just hiking as fast as you feel safe to go. Then it started into thicker trails and into the sun. It was about 85 degrees while running so Jon struggled a little. He actually turned around to go back at about the 12 mile mark realizing he was only half way done. He walked for about a minute then realized "I drove in a car with 6 guys for 12 hours to turn around...I don't think so!" So he turned around again and actually caught up with the group at the end, finishing before them and running straight into the ocean! GO JON!

So this is the tiniest trail I have ever seen!
Gotta love the short shorts!

Potty time already???

I am not ready to potty train another one! I know that everybody thinks it's such a great accomplishment for the kids but I think mothers should be given some sort of award when a child is completely potty trained. Which by comletely, I mean they can actually hold every drop until they get to the potty!

I was amazed when I let Hanna run around naked the other day and she comes running in to me saying "I did it!" She had gotten the potty out of her closet in her room, put it in the bathroom and had gone peepee in it!!! She tried to dump it out in the toilet and didn't quite make it...we'll get there! She went on to go 2 more times and a number 2! Wow! I'm not ready for that commitment. Ya know, having to leave the park when ya jsut set up you picnic, dragging the basket full of groceries to the entrance of the restroom and waiting there with you other child while yelling into the bathroom, and last of all...Girls can't go in the bushes, DANGIT!

Singing time!

I'm sitting on my bedroom floor with the CD player next to me trying to practice singing lessons in the little spare time I have. Hunter and Hanna are watching Dora or something in the other room and I have to take a quick break. This is what I come back to find. Imagine Hanna's beautiful 1 year old singing voice and Hunter driving his car from note to note telling her she needs to open more and be a little louder! They have watched me teach one too many voice lessons. I don't think I've laughed that hard in a long time!

The Bob!

So Hanna's hair is finally long enough to cut and style. We only chopped a little peice in the back that was actually the cutest curly part but growing not in harmony with the rest! But I love her new little bob. Straight and curly just like mommy!

...And then there's that morning hair again! I think it is so funny, I have to do it as soon as she wakes up, it cracks me up! Oh and the sticker on the nose, her and Hunter went to town!

Laughter & Tears

This was so hilarious. I couldn't get the sound to work so imagine he goes from laughing to crying then laughing to crying again. then a big sigh while he lays on the floor, looks up and says "Mommy, save me, daddy's tickling me."

Nap hair

I love it when Hanna first wakes up, the hair is so cute and smooshed to one side and the snuggles are the best. Hunter can't wait to see her!

Daddy Time

"Daddy is the best horse ever!" Hunter proudly anounces the next day when daddy had left for work and he's remembering the horsy rides they had last afternoon. "Where is daddy?" says Hunter, "He's at work honey." Says Mommy. "Did he go on an airplane again or is he just riding around in his new red truck?" Hunter asks "He'll be home tonight" mom says. "Yes!!! I can't wait to see him, maybe he will play catch with me!"
Nothing is better than DADDY time!

Working together

I love it when you catch cute moments like these. Hunter is so concentrated...Hanna comes along and he automatically puts up his armed gate around his "Castle!" She used to run and knock them over but now she loves to look at him, show him the block she wants to put on top and slowly does it. He reluctantly allows her to do it the first time and the tension between them releases. And of course I am watching just waiting for a small battle between them to fire up, when it doesn't... I can get the camera!

So Romantic!

Jon gave me the most beautiful flowers for my birthday! He's so good about keeping the little things important to him. For about the entire first year of our marriage he would bring me flowers home from work every week. I told him to save up the whole months worth of money he would have spent and let me buy a couple new shirts...much more romantic in my opinion! Anyway, these lasted an entire month and they looked exactly like my wedding Bouquet!

American Idol fans!

This is way cute! Way worth the watch!

Arizona

So Jon and I were able to go to Scottsdale and Tucson Arizona this past week! It was awesome! I didn't know quite what to do with all that free time but I managed. I read my book, got a pretty good tan and did a whole lot of shopping. We stayed at the most beautiful resort in Scottsdale, here's a few pics and I know they're horrible but I was really lazy with taking pictures this trip so sorry...how pathetic am I? There was the cutest place in old Scottsdale, if anyone has ever ben there it's adorable, but this pizza place was amazing. There were really slow in bringing the food but when you don't have the kids, you could care less how long they take right? Well the trip was a blast, the only picture I actually took was of Jon and I in the car on the way to the airport to go home, sad huh? Ohwell, here we are
