The Farm!

On Thursday we finally, after trying for months, got to go to Uncle Troys farm! He runs a church farm out in Nephi. When I was little I used to go and stay with them for whole weekends and babysit for their kids then go ride the tractors and 4-wheelers through the days! I learned how to drive a stick shift there! It's so beautiful and brought back so many memories. It was so weird to see my kids there now and their kids old enough to babysit mine. Hunter & Hanna loved it.

Hanna & Makell! I can't believe how old Makell is now, Wow the time flies!

Hunter stuck with the boys. Clayton & Trent are so good with him.
It was so funny, Hunter grabbed Trent's hand and said "Come over for a minute Trent, I have something to ask you." (that's the picture above) And Trent said "What." Hutner then asked this complex question..."Why do tractors have such big wheels???" Trent laughed a little then looked at his mom for the answer. It was hilarious!

Hunter was loving the tractors!

Hanna did not like the horse ride so much,

...but she loved the 4-wheeler rides!

We got to go up to the cow farm and saw a feeding. The baby cows were so cute. If they were ayoung enough and were not scared of us, they will suck your fingers. It sounds gross but it's so sweet though. Oh those mama cows, Wow! They go through alot to give us milk and it looks kind of painful. I thought we had to go through a lot with milking one, sometimes two children...those poor cows.
It was so fun, late but fun! Thanks Trish & Troy and Happy Birthday Trent!

Happy Birthday Hunter!

I thought I would put a little post on for my little guy! He turned 4 on Saturday and I can't believe the time has gone by so fast. He really is a sweatheart and I love him forever!
Hunter, I can't wait to talk to you every morning when you wake up. Your hugs are so needed, your kisses are so precious and your words are so innocent. Please don't grow too fast. Everytime you see me cry about anything you ask if I am sad that you are growing up too fast, well, today the answer is yes. I want you to experience so much but not too much. Maybe it's just selfish. Maybe I just want you to stay with me forever & I know it has to end someday. Maybe I know how smart and wonderful you are and am already scared you will leave or grow up too soon. Maybe I am just not ready to have a 4 year who is starting school. I just want you to stay happy & keep that cute laugh and smile you have so often. I love every minute of you! Happy Birthday!

"I just dont have time for that mom!"

Since when is it okay for my child to respond to a demand I make of him in a way that I am being bossed around? I will ask him to get dressed, to blow his nose, to clean up his room, to read to his sister, or you know, the everyday stuff... And I will get a response like this; "I just don't think I can" or I don't really have time for that right now" It's not even in a snotty way or rude way. It's in a nonchalant way with the shrugging of the shoulders and the look of "there's nothing else in the world I can fit into my schedule" kind of look. So innocent yet so matter of fact like he knows exactly what he wants to accomplish today and if I load one more thing on to his schedule of playing, he might just die! Wow I don't know what it would be like to have to fit that many things into my busy schedule, how do those 3 year-olds do it???

St. George!

I know I am not the best at updating my blog this summer but is some consolation to know that we are having so much fun playing!!! Jon had to go to St. George this last weekend for work, so of course...we tagged along! He is awesome to bring us and let us just play! WE went shopping, miniature golfing, to the Wildlife Museum, out to lunch a couple times and just played together, it was so much fun!
I forgot my camera, but of course had my phone! So these aren't the best quality but they are cute and fun! The kids and I went to Cracker Barrel for lunch one day and tried on the cute Halloween stuff they had there...can you believe it's time to get Halloween stuff out already? WOW!

Daddy and the kids had story time while mommy went to the gym! Cute!
The Wildlife Museum, pretty cool! They actually had a storm inside the building, it was pretty awesome!

And of course, we went swimming while we waited for Jon to finish working! Ya know just getting away from the everyday scene of playdates, house cleaning & disciplining kiddos, was so nice! Well I didn't completely abandon the disciplining, my kids might not be here if I did that!
It was a fun weekend!

Fun at the Park!

We love summer time! The Murray park is the best around for picnics! Full of stuff for the kids to do from playgrounds to rivers with ducks to swimming and ice skating!
So we went today with a bunch of our friends and the kids had a ball! I love it when the kids have little playmates that they love to play with so much but it makes me sad that they are growing up so fast! Hunter actually called a friend the other day and asked if he could play...he walked over there by himself and everything aaaaaahhhhhhh, where did the time go!

So if you only have one baby swing, (which I have no idea why Hunter wanted that one, he hasn't done that since he was 1)... you improvise!

I feel so loved every Sunday when Neva comes into primary! I am the only one she will go to and she is such a cute cuddler...i love it! Thanks Sher, for letting her love me so much!

Speaking of Summer.... The FRUITS OF OUR LABORS!!!

Yay, we finally have veggies from our garden, I am so excited! The kids have helped a ton and I want to show of theirs and Jon's hard work! I would love to take credit but I haven't done all that much so here's to their hard work!!!

Oh and a couple other pics of summer that I thought were just random and cute!
Don't you love Hanna's little table here for her chips, this girl does not like clothes!
My mom and Hunter! Hunter's got the ice cream and mom's got the diet coke! Everyday occurrence at the Ostler home!
And I just thought this was too cute! I was remodeling our bedroom and had just finished the rocking chair in the corner when Hanna said "here mommy!" bringing this little one to sit right next to it!
