The best 5 years!

This month is 5 years for Jon and I! I thought I'd do a little slide show of pictures from the wedding day until today! I don't want to get all mushy but I do want to say that I love this man so much and can't wait to spend the rest of my life with him! Noone has ever made me smile so much or made me scowl so much, we've been through so much together and I wouldn't change a bit of it! I have always dreamed of having a true best friend and now I get to kiss him goodnight and goodmorning everday. I truly couldn't ask for more! Oh and this was our wedding song! The next song was runner up!

Those restless nights!

Hanna is struggling with staying in her bed after we shut the door at night. First she says, "Mommy, where are you" then comes, "I'm thirsty" then "I want milk." I stand outside the door saying, "Hanna, get back into bed," then comes the new word being used way too much by this almost 2 yr old..."NO!" Oh the joys! So anyway I decided to wait one night until it was quiet in there and go check on her and this is what I found. She was sitting on her timeout chair behind the door and had fallen over and landed on her horse. I couldn't resist taking a picture of it.

Saturday morning run!

We were all up in Ogden Saturday morning cheering our daddy on at the finish line of the Ogden Marathon! We're so proud of him.
THE BIG #5!

Hunter was so excited to see him come in. He even wore his special running shoes so he could keep up with daddy. They got the best shot of them both crossing the finish line and Hunter was so tough just huffin and puffin away. Out of it all, Hunter said his favorite part was the jamba juice he got at the finish line! Go figure!

Random musings!

There are so many pictures I take because I think they're just cute things. So here are a couple of random things we have been doing this week!

MOTHERS DAY!

The kids were so cute on mothers day. They each picked out a flower all by themselves and they actually did a really good job! They even brought me breakfast in bed which was way to messy to take a picture of so just imagine! Daddy and Hunter did the dishes for me which helped since I was sick in bed with strep .
My 2 little happy helpers!

SICK DAY!
I don't know if I should be as excited as I was to have this day come but I totally was! I have had strep throat through the weekend and Jon has had such bad allergies that he sounds like he's been talking through a Kazoo! So on Monday, we took a sick day! Wow, I forgot how wonderful it feels to actually not do anything all day long! I don't think we've done that since we were first married. Sometimes you get to the point where life is so busy that you're begging to have a sick day just to take some down time! The kids must have been having a sympathy sick day because they followed what ever we were doing! It was great we got some good movies in!

FRIENDS!
Seth, our little neighbor comes to his moms on weekends and loves to play at our house! It's nice to have someone older for Hunter to play with. Here they are, Hunter is reading Seth the scary monster book. I still love those kind of books! Hanna does get a little jealous sometimes.

"CARS"

Sometimes we have days where we get to stay home the entire day and I love those days! Today was one of them. I am so tempted to be on the computer way too much doing ya know...what ever we moms do all day on the computer, but today I was determined to plan something productive! We made a "car" themed lunch! We made car sandwiches and had a "Car"pet picnic and watched "Cars" in the family room, it was great! the random banana slices are a "Cool road for the cars to drive," in Hunters words! Sorry about the crappy looking cars, it was the best I could do with still trying to be healthy!

What's wrong with this picture???

Don't ya just love the random moments of life???

Just about finished!

YAY! Were almost done! We finally finished the flooring, thanks to our handy naighbor Steve who showed us a few shortcuts! It still needs a few things like trim and thresholds but it's coming! The last things are the things that take the most time... they just get put off so easily.

The only thing I'm worried about is that it's super hard to keep clean! I mopped twice yesterday and it still looks dirty, ugh! Luckily there's the swiffer or the B&R Chem-Dry spray thing that works really well!
Thumbs up! While Jon was carrying the stove and refrigerator onto the carpet ( yes, we had to eat in the living room for the weekend and if you've been in my house...you know that's tough to do) Anyway, Hunter kept saying, "Wow dad, you sure are strong" and "This sure is a good-looking floor" Noone says it better than a 3 yr. old! He keeps us laughing and trecking along!

Okay so I just couldn't help taking this cute picture. I know it's random but I love those potty training months where they run around the house with no diaper on! Every time she stoops down she lifts her night gown up so it doesn't get stuck on her knees! So cute and gotta love the morning hair!

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------OH THE MESS!
Leave Hanna and Hunter in a room together for 5 minutes and it looks like this! I am in the other room thinking wow, they are getting along great! and then I look in!
!
The radio was playing and I just couldn't help peeking in with the camera! I'm still trying to get my sound to work and you can't see it too well but the dancing is so cute! She's not quite sure how to dance until I say " Shake you booty" and you can see when she's just shakin away! At the end, I guess she got sick of me and shut the door in my face! She's one and already needs her privacy!

Baby Easton!

My sister had her baby about a month ago and they were just able to take the Oxygen off, so Hunter was finally able to hold him! He was so excited and has been talking about it for weeks! It's so cute to see how children handle babies, sometimes so gentle and other times with way too much energy! It made me think of how many times Hunter tried to help me with Hanna! By "help" I mean accidently injure her in some way. They love eachother so much but oh do you have to keep your eye on them all the time! Hunter one time put 4 crackers in his cousin Jordynns mouth before she had her first solid food, ahhhhh, SCARY! I love that they play so well together now, most of the time, but those first few months were a little crazy! So worth it though, I love it!

We went to the West Jordan park the other day, that park is amazing! We love it but you have to watch your kids so well, it's so huge!
I love Hannas hair in this picture! It also says so much about their personalities: Hanna in the front wanting to always be in charge and go go go and Hunter in the back making sure everything is working properly or just distracted by something, either one! Ready-Set-Go! I love it!

Remodeling!

We are trying to get our house ready to sale and there's so much that needs to be done! Don't ya love that right before you sale your house it finally looks that way that you have wanted it to look the whole time. And you didn't even get to enjoy the new things about it? Gotta love the busy life, everything gets put off until the last minute...nobody else is like that right?

We have started with our kitchen flooring! If anybody had seen it, it was pretty bad...white tile with a few that WEREN"T cracked! We are putting in hardwood floors and debating whether or not to just do the entire upstairs, more expensive but worth it!

We will post more when more gets done!
Wish us luck! Doing home projects is one thing..doing them with a 3 yr old and a 2 yr old...is another! Dora is my best friend right now!

Finger Paints!

Sorry it's been so long since I've posted. I've been doing a blog for my friend Heidi Eskelson and her twins. She had them at 24 weeks and they have family that lives everywhere so we can at least help in this way. If ya wanna check it out it's on the side named Eskelson Miracles!

Anyways...here's what's new with our family

Once in a while I will let the kids make a total mess and do an activity they actually want to do instead of all the boring and clean stuff I want to do... Friday was that day! I guess the pictures didn't do them justice, especially Hanna. Her belly had a nice 5 or 6 handprints on it smudged right in there and both of them with their hands on their cheeks...they'll do whatever the other one does!

BEFORE!

AFTER!

Gotta have the bath afterwards! I was actually really impressed with these paints, they didn't stain anything and were really easy to wash off! They were the Elmers finger paints! Great product!
