We're still alive!

It has been a long terrible week:( of sickies, coughing and house hunting...but we are STILL ALIVE! No it wasn't really that bad, well the sick part has been pretty nasty, Jon luckily hasn't gotten it but the rest of us sound horrible right now! The house hunting part is going great though. It's frustrating at times but really exciting! We have put in an offer on a house we really like but are still looking in the mean time, the market is very competetive. We went to look at this house and 7 other showings happened in the same day...AHHH! Maybe we should have waited to sell our house...jk Jon! (if you're reading this)

Well we are staying at my parents house until we find a home. It's really nice, they have a kitchen downstairs so we are not in their way too much.
It was really hard to say goodbye to our home. I did not think it would be that tough, I was really excited, but to see it empty like that and to have so many friends come by at the last minute for our birthdays, it got very emotional for me. Maybe it was a little of the hormome thing happening but it was hard anyway. I took some pictures of before the move and after, more for my use than yours but here they are anyway. I think the thing that made it so hard was all the hard work we put into the home. We bought it almost 4 years ago after it had been vacant for a couple years and was selling as a HUD home. Great deal but needed A LOT of work. Every room in the house was changed by us. I hope the new couple loves it as much as we did. Okay Okay, enough about the old house...on to bigger and better things right?!

This was during packing week so all the plants are gone. But it still looked like our home!

Wow! That's even weird to look at now.
Well as for other things going on in our life...
The kids really look forward to St. Patricks Day because of the pot of gold the leprechauns leave behind for them! We did fun puzzle this year that ended out in an arrow pointing to where the treasure was hidden. They found it quick and all the gold coins have already been eaten!
Happy belated St. Patricks Day!
The first clue was hidden right on the T.V....had to make it obvious!
One was hiding under the swings!
They finally found it behind a tree! Yummy! Mommy ate way too much of it!
Oh and our ward had a killer Pinewood derby "anything goes" party before we left. I would post pictures but my computer is being dumb so I'll just tell you that Jon took the cake on all of the cars! His aerodynamic version of attaching a rubber band to the car and pulling it down the track...kicked everyone's butt! Oh and his car with a huge brick on top, didn't do too bad in the demolition derby either!

What a beautiful house! I never saw it in person after you finished with all your projects. You guys did a great job! I understand how you feel leaving a house that you put so much heart and soul into. We're thinking we should sell soon, but I'm having a hard time with the idea of parting with this little place. As much as I HATE its lack of storage, I love our little house. But, I'm sure I'll feel the same about the next place we live.

You're such a creative mom. I need to be more on the ball with cute, fun stuff.

Can't wait to see you guys! It will be so much fun!

SO that's where Dave got the rubber band idea about the pinewood derby!
Good luck on the house hunt, with the amazing decorating skills you have any house you have will be darling!

Your house was so cute! I'm sure you'll love your new house even more. It was fun hanging out with your parents down in Moab over the weekend. Have you had the same junk your mom has? She was kinda miserable. I hope you all get feeling better!

I'm sorry you guys have been sick...I hope you're feeling better! Bryson & Megan talk about the kids everyday, so we'll have to get together next week if you're feeling better. We don't like driving by your house anymore...it's just not the same! :)

What fun pictures, you guys did do wonders to that house. Now we're basically neighbors again! Woohoo! Riley would LOVE to play with Hunter again, we for sure need to get together. Cute ideas for St. Patrick's Day, that looked like fun. And we're sad we missed the Pinewood Derby, Randy was getting pretty into it and Riley was so excited! Our ward is doing one in the summer so Randy will have to call Jon for some pointers on a winning car, it's anything goes here too. I saw that your prego counter is at over 21 weeks! Lucky! When did that happen! I'm almost 15 is all. We go to Fetal Fotos on Thursday to find out what it is so I'll keep you posted. Talk to ya soon!

Well congratulations on your big move. Hopefully you'll find something you love and you'll win the bidding. I know exactly how you feel about leaving your home. I felt the same way when we had to pack all our things up and sell our condo. Sometimes Rob and I still talk about missing it.

I hope you and the rest of your family start feeling better. Good luck with the house hunting. :-)
